{"id":94,"date":"2009-08-11T21:58:16","date_gmt":"2009-08-12T02:58:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.tonybeshara.com\/blog\/?p=94"},"modified":"2009-08-11T21:58:16","modified_gmt":"2009-08-12T02:58:16","slug":"i-never-expected-it-would-be-this-hard","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tonybeshara.com\/blog\/i-never-expected-it-would-be-this-hard\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8230;&#8221;I never expected it would be this hard&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: Georgia\">We hear this daily&#8230;candidates that are finding out that it is sooooo much harder to find a job than it was in the past&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Georgia\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Georgia\"><o:p><\/o:p><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Georgia\">A recent survey I read stated that the average professional thinks it takes 60 days to find a job when they are out of one&#8230;try an average of 180 to 220&#8230;<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Georgia\">They found jobs in the mid 2000&#8217;s or mid &#8217;90&#8217;s&#8230;it was easier then&#8230;<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Georgia\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Georgia\"><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Georgia\">We placed a sales candidate today who\u00a0accepted a base salary\u00a0of $85,000&#8230;she told us\u00a0four months ago that\u00a0 she wouldn&#8217;t take less than $100,000 base&#8230;since her last base was $135,000 in spite of the fact that she was on maternity leave for one\u00a0year and had taken the last year off to be with her baby&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Georgia\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Georgia\"><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Georgia\"><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Georgia\"><o:p><\/o:p><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Georgia\">Times have changed&#8230;it was no where as easy as she thought it was going to be&#8230;and she was lucky that we could find her a job&#8230;<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Georgia\">It is a very rough job market&#8230;take nothing for granted&#8230;<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We hear this daily&#8230;candidates that are finding out that it [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":[],"categories":[12],"tags":[27,32],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.2 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>...&quot;I never expected it would be this hard&quot;
