{"id":250,"date":"2012-02-18T22:53:38","date_gmt":"2012-02-19T03:53:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.tonybeshara.com\/blog\/?p=250"},"modified":"2012-02-18T22:53:38","modified_gmt":"2012-02-19T03:53:38","slug":"simple-linkedin-lesson","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tonybeshara.com\/blog\/simple-linkedin-lesson\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8230;simple linkedin lessons"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Twice this last month, <em>TWO<\/em> of my candidates were eliminated because their Linkedin profile did not agree with their resume&#8230;there were jobs on their profile that weren&#8217;t on their resume&#8230;\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>I\u00a0really don&#8217;t know what to say!&#8230;. how you say&#8230;<em>s-t-u-p-i-d?<\/em><\/p>\n<p>I might as well mention here, that\u00a0a week ago, I had\u00a0another candidate\u00a0who was discounted for an opportunity because his Linkedin profile was not very robust&#8230; he had no picture of himself&#8230;\u00a0few contacts&#8230;and \u00a0no recommendations&#8230; very little of anything. The CEO of the company I presented him to said,\u00a0&#8220;well, after 20 years of experience,\u00a0I can&#8217;t believe he wouldn&#8217;t \u00a0have a more robust Linkedin profile. I&#8217;ll pass on him.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>You don&#8217;t have to agree with any of these issues. The first one is inarguable. The second one is quite unfair, but that&#8217;s what happened.
