{"id":219,"date":"2011-10-02T20:38:15","date_gmt":"2011-10-03T01:38:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.tonybeshara.com\/blog\/?p=219"},"modified":"2011-10-02T20:38:15","modified_gmt":"2011-10-03T01:38:15","slug":"the-interview-is-like-a-first-date","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tonybeshara.com\/blog\/the-interview-is-like-a-first-date\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8230;.the interview is like a first date???"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8230;some gal \u00a0on the Internet tells people a job interview is like going on a first date&#8230; this is ridiculous&#8230; the gal might be a good writer, or a good researcher, or whatever&#8230; but\u00a0don&#8217;t buy this garbage!<\/p>\n<p>An interview is not a DATE&#8230; an interview is not SOCIAL&#8230; an interview is a SALES situation&#8230; they&#8217;re 43 other people competing for this job&#8230; you have to be forceful and aggressive&#8230; an interview is NOT a &#8220;two-way street&#8221; of give-and-take&#8230; Until you get to the final interviewing stages it is a &#8220;one-way street&#8221;\u00a0 and \u00a0you\u00a0 are doing all of the selling&#8230; you gotta be downright pushy&#8230; but nice&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>P-L-E-A-S-E don&#8217;t buy this silly stuff&#8230; interviewing is a business deal&#8230;PERIOD&#8230; certainly you want to get people to like you but you have to show them how you are going to benefit their organization&#8230; make &#8217;em money or save &#8217;em money&#8230;Don&#8217;t try to complicated anymore than that.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8230;some gal \u00a0on the Internet tells people a job interview [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":[],"categories":[1],"tags":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.2 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>....the interview is like a first date???
