{"id":164,"date":"2010-08-07T18:21:40","date_gmt":"2010-08-07T23:21:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.tonybeshara.com\/blog\/?p=164"},"modified":"2010-08-07T18:21:40","modified_gmt":"2010-08-07T23:21:40","slug":"do-we-like-you","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tonybeshara.com\/blog\/do-we-like-you\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8230;do  we like you?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This amounts to 40% of hiring decision &#8230; that&#8217;s right 40% &#8230; people really don&#8217;t like hearing this&#8230; It makes everyone uncomfortable because they think that hiring ought to be more &#8220;fair&#8221;\u00a0 then having your personality and being liked play that much of a role in the hiring process&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>But that&#8217;s the way it is &#8230; reality, whether you like it or not&#8230; people hire who they like and they don&#8217;t hire who they don&#8217;t like, no matter how qualified to candidate might be&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>In fact, I have seen more less than qualified candidates&#8230; event downright unqualified candidates\u00a0hired because they were liked then you can ever imagine&#8230; and, as a corollary, I have never seen\u00a0even the momst\u00a0well qualified candidate hired that wasn&#8217;t liked by a the interviewing and hiring authorities&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>What does this mean?
